The Wilmslow Show 2010

Along with all the old favourites, new for this year you will now find the Competition Pages together with the Rules and an Entry Form. They cover everything from entering Sweet Peas to Art and Photography and much more. There are also sections for Schools and Young People and you don't have to be an expert to enter - beginners are particularly welcome! Also, for the first time, you can enter the competitions Free of Charge so why not have a go! We look forward to seeing you at our Show.

Events at this year's Show (New!)

Wilmslow Show Flyer
  • Children's amusements with all the fun of the fair.
  • Pony rides by the Humane Education Society.
  • Shire horse and foal
  • Longhorn cattle (we hope)
  • Archery - have a go with a real bow & arrow.
  • Chainsaw carving demo.
  • Mini pet zoo, which proved very popular last year.
  • Arena events include Birds of prey flying display and the Dog & Duck – sheepdog "herding" Indian runner ducks – always a big draw.
  • Craft marquee with 20+ stalls and 40 – 50 outside trade stands.
  • Music will be provided by the Wilmslow High School Wind Band, Hazel Grove Silver Band and the Werneth Low Concert Band together with a peripatetic jazz band - the Bourbon Street Roof-Raisers
  • Licensed bar, hog roast and a variety of hot and cold food.
  • Fly past by WW2 Dakota courtesy of the RAF, weather & timing permitting.
  • The 6th Wilmslow scouts look after the car parking
  • The Red Cross man our first aid post and several charities benefit by our provision of subsidised space on the field for fund raising activities or by direct donations – over £600 in 2009

The Classic Car Show at the Wilmslow Show runs from 10:00am through to 4:00pm. Come and have a look at some of the fantastic cars on show here!

Flower Show Link

Flower Tent

The Competitions in the Flower Tent at the Wilmslow Show are organised by the Alderley Edge and Wilmslow Horticultural and Rose Society. The Flower Tent also showcases Young Poeple's classes and Beginners classes.

Dog Show

The Dog Show competitions judge dogs based on a number of different characteristics such as "Waggiest Tail" and "Most Handsome Dog". Come along and watch the dogs at the Wilmslow Show!
