Wilmslow Show Competition Rules
- All exhibitors must complete an entry form and send it to the secretary to arrive not later than the Tuesday before the show.
- An exhibitor may stage any number of entries in any class except Section K (photography – only 2 entries per class) but is only eligible for one prize in any class, except Section F (cacti & succulents).
- Exhibits (except for those in sections K, J & Q) should be taken to the show ground between 1.00 pm on Saturday 10th July and 8.00 am on Sunday 11th July. Class cards will be available at the secretary’s desk in the main marquee and these should be placed beside the exhibit. Entries to sections K, J & Q must be delivered to the secretary at the showground by 3.00 pm on the Saturday.
- Unless specified, exhibitors may use their own bowls & vases or those provided by the Horticultural Society in the main marquee.
- Judging commences at 9.00 am.
- No exhibit may be removed until after 5.00 pm on Sunday and exhibitors are urged to collect their exhibits at this time. Whilst every care will be taken, the committee does not accept responsibility for any loss or damage from any cause to exhibits or containers.
- The show manager is the sole authority in arranging how or where exhibits are to be shown and reserves the right to refuse an entry.
- The judges have the power to award additional prizes or to withhold prizes. Any disputes will be settled by the committee, whose decision is final.
- All exhibits must be grown by, or be the sole work of the Exhibitor.
- Prize money will be distributed from 3.00 pm until 5.00 pm at the secretary’s office in the main marquee. Uncollected prizes may be claimed by telephoning the secretary (01625 251126) not later than 30th September following the show.
